A Mother’s Day gift and what’s on our shelves 💕

Dear friends,

We all want to have meaningful faith conversations with our children, but sometimes it can be difficult to know where to start.

That’s exactly why I created these companions. To help you weave gospel conversations into everyday moments. In this case, into your read alouds.

In so connecting the gospel to what you’re reading, your children will begin to see that the Bible applies to everything. Helping them to build a biblical lens for the rest of life. Something we all want for our little ones as we prepare them for life.

As a gift this Mother’s Day, I’ve created a 15% off link for the Anne of Green Gables companion, found here.

I pray that this companion is a blessing to you as you seek to disciple your children in these quiet, ordinary, yet powerful moments… as it has been to so many others (see what others are saying below).

You can also find all of our other companions here.

In the meantime, here’s what’s on our bookshelves at the moment.

What we’ve been enjoying lately

- Sefton (8 yrs old) has just finished The Adventures of Bo and Mr Quillery, written by a new Christian author, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Here are his own sweet words: “The Adventures of Bo and Mr. Quillery: Book One, The Lost Chick. I loved this book because of the amazing friendship and teamwork. Bo was a father to many other animals and Mr Quillery was helpful, courageous and good to other animals in the animal community. People should read this book because of the amazing quests they go on together in this book, Bo and Mr. Quillery rescue a chick from certain death because the hissy gang (they are rattlesnakes) were going to kill the chick but then Bo, Mr. Quillery and big Jake saved the day and rescued the chick. It was a great book.

-
I have just finished The Five Lies of Our Anti-Christian Age, which was a very hard hitting but hugely helpful read. You can find my full review here.

-
Bethel (5) has a particular fascination with true stories, and has been captivated by this one, about how braille came to be. It’s a picture book I highly recommend for everyone’s library. If your children enjoy picture books based on true stories, here’s our full list of favourites.

If you have any questions regarding any of these books or this companion, please feel free to respond to this email, or reach out to me on Instagram.

Many blessings,

Jessica
