Dear friends,
Did you see over on Instagram that Sweet Sequels and I are hosting the most delightful Anne of Green Gables giveaway?! One winner will be selected to win her delightful copy of Anne of Green Gables to use alongside our companion - the perfect duo!
Enter here!
But if you just can’t wait for Friday to come, I’ve created a 10% off link for the Anne of Green Gables companion, that will be valid until Sunday, found here.
I pray that this companion is a blessing to you as you seek to disciple your children in these quiet, ordinary, yet powerful moments… as it has been to so many others (see what others are saying below).
You can also find all of our other companions here.
In the meantime, here’s what’s on our bookshelves at the moment.
What we’ve been enjoying lately
- Sefton (8 yrs old) is completely hooked into the Dreamkeeper Saga. He’s just finished book two, which you will find here, but if you haven’t started them yet, this is the link for book one. Written by Christian author and published by Crossway, this series is a true gem. Here are Sefton’s own sweet words: “This book was full to the brim with cliffhangers and loaded with exciting bits. I love all the people and characters because they played different roles. My favourite character was Lily. The reason she was my favourite was because she never gave up and she always wanted to go on instead of staying in her own world. She got things wrong but slowly learned.”
- I have just finished the third book in the Emma M Lion series, which I highly recommend. It’s witty, unputdownable and has Jane Austen vibes, but so much easier to read. Find the first one here.
- Bethel (5) is thoroughly enjoying Joe Sutphin’s latest book - The King’s Cadets and Little Joe. We had just finished his version of Pilgrims Progress (my all time favourite version - find it here) so this has felt like such a sweet follow on. Laced with scripture, it’s a short chapter book full of charming animals and sweet stories.
- Elias (2) has Dear Duck Please Come memorised! A sweet, funny, exquisitely illustrated picture book, of high quality. It’s sure to be a hit in any home. My eldest son enjoys reading it to him and missing out words here and there for Elias to fill in, in his delightful 2 year old voice 🥹
If you have any questions regarding any of these books or this companion, please feel free to respond to this email, or reach out to me on Instagram.
Many blessings,
Jessica
