Sweet friends,
Lithos Kids create some of our favourite books and I am so excited to be able to share a 40% off code with you!
If you already know about Lithos Kids and just want to run with the code… it’s LIFEGIVING40 … but if this is the first you’ve heard of them, stick with me.
We first heard of Lithos Kids a few years ago. A Christian publisher with a heart for creating beautifully crafted, biblically faithful books for our little ones to enjoy.
Books that call you to snuggle up infront of a fire and read chapter after chapter. They’ve truly been a gift to us.
Our favourites are The Parables of Jesus, which my 8 year old son has read cover to cover more times than I can count, and the Little Pilgrims Big Journey - a sweet version of Pilgrims Progress tailored for younger children. Ideally 2-7 years old.
You can find my full review for the latter here and the former here
I know, it feels early to be talking about Advent. If you’re not ready, scroll to the bottom for what’s on our shelves, but if you are, bear with me…
Advent is one of the most cherished seasons in our home. There’s a devotional waiting and an Advent candle ready to light 🕯️…
But what if preparing Him room didn’t stop with your quiet time?
What if it overflowed into everyday moments, like your read-aloud time, with your children and your community?
This is exactly what the Advent Story Celebration Guide is designed for. While reading The Family Under the Bridge, your hearts - yours, your children’s, and your friends’ - will be gently turned toward Christ. Together, you’ll reflect on the gift of Jesus and the beauty He’s made for us to enjoy: hymns, art, food, Scripture.
It’s perfect for gathering with other Christian mums to celebrate what matters most this season. This guide will lead you in rich, Christ-centered conversation and celebration
It includes:
* A biblical reflection
* Thoughtful discussion questions
* A “Dig Deeper” theology section for older kids
* A memory verse poster & copywork
* Hymn + art reflections
* A related, child friendly recipe
* Colouring sheets for little hands

What we’ve been enjoying lately
- Sefton (age 8) - He has recently devoured Blades of Eternity and the Keeper of Peace, about which he said “I found this book exciting and it was quite upbeat. It had some lovely characters full of bravery and courage. It was a battle between all the seasons - the Queen of Autumn, the Queen of Spring, the King of Summer and the King of Winter. The author should be proud of himself 😁🤩👍 well done!!!!!!!!!👏. The illustrations are really good too.”If your middle grade son or daughter is a fan of fantasy adventure, with themes that point us towards the Biggest story, we think they’ll love this one!
- Bethel (5 years old) - has been requesting Fletcher and the Falling Leaves on repeat. I am yet to find a modern illustrator I love more. The books are beautifully poetic and illustrations are exquisite!
- Elias (3 years old) - has been loving Cars Trucks and Things That Go. It should be on the shelf of every family with young boys. No book has ever gripped him like this one!
- Jessica - The God of the Garden has been one of my favourite books of 2025. It’s hard to describe and so you should just read it 😉 but if I could sum it up I’d say it’s a beautiful, faith filled, honest and raw memoir, which repeatedly points us to the glory of God through His wonderful creation. if you’d like to read a story about our run in with a herd of cows at 9 months pregnant, which this book brought back vivid memories of, click here
- Huw- is currently reading A Little Theology of Exercise. A short, fascinating book looking at the relationship between how we move our bodies and our spiritual life.
If you have any questions regarding any of these books or this companion, please feel free to respond to this email, or reach out to me on Instagram.
Many blessings,
Jessica
