Happy Wednesday dear ones,
It finally happened to me…
After recommending this book for years, both online and to friends, a local friend finally borrowed it and they approached this weekend, weeks after borrowing it… this is what they said…
“That book you loaned me…. Best book ever!!”
It’s every “bookish girly’s” dream to hear a friend truly get your passion for a particular book, even if she did chuckle at the hundreds of tabs I’d put in it to highlight quotes that had struck me.
So here I am, imploring you to give it a go too.
It’s a most profound piece of fiction, following the life of Katharine from the age of 15, right through her life and it details so very vulnerably and in the rawest way, the struggles of the Christian walk.
It puts into words our laments over how slow our sanctification seems to happen.
It provides an example of a life lived with such a beautiful desire to live in step with the Spirit and a yearning to love Jesus with all she has, but exposes the ever relatable reality of fighting against our flesh in the process.
It’s too multifaceted to give it justice in a short email.

It’s quite the masterpiece and is one I will revisit again and again.

If you buy anything today, make it this!
Every Christian mother should read this book (in my humble opinion)

A Giveaway of Dreams For the Living Book Enthusiast!
Another exciting announcement is that I am hosting a giveaway with Living Book Press for a 15 copy book set worth £100. It’s the Cousin From Long Ago series - a living history book series!
Whilst history textbooks have their place, they predominantly focus on dates and details of battles.
This series, through story, transports our children to the time period, showing them what life would have been like for ordinary boys and girls in so many fascinating periods of history, such as the Saxons, Romans, Aztec and Spartan! 🏛️🏺
To enter, click here and you can view the series here

What we’ve been enjoying lately

Me- I have been enjoying Family Driven Faith by Voddie Baucham. If you would like a book to help envision and equip you to bring your children up to love the Lord, this book is brilliant. I have underlined so many things!

Sefton (age 9) - Sefton has been loving the series mentioned above but also Skyworld by Christian author Dane Stewart. A sci-fi dystopian novel aimed at ages 10-18.

As a family - we are reading Heidi and using our devotional companion with it. A perfect way to ponder His mighty deeds as we read this classic 🥹 you can find our companions here.

If you have any questions regarding any of these books or our companions, please feel free to respond to this email, or reach out to me on Instagram.
Many blessings,
